Dwellent provides a website, emails, and paper newsletters, to promote closer community ties and better collaboration amongst neighbours.

We take your privacy very seriously and have tried to keep this privacy policy as simple and clear as possible. The key points of our privacy policy are:

  • We try to ask you for the minimum amount of information we can, but enough to allow you and your neighbours to cooperate.

We show your display name and flat number/house to people in your building or chosen group of addresses. We will use your display name so that you are recognisable on our database and so that we can personalize your experience. We will use your email address to contact you from time to time and may also use it for security reasons to confirm that you are who you say you are. You can control the types and frequencies of certain emails you receive in your email preferences. We do not display your email address to any users of the system, however they are able to send messages via the Site.

  • We may use the information collected automatically, such as your IP address, information stored via cookies, and information about how you use the Service to develop statistics and aggregate information about how the site is being used, and to learn how to improve and simplify the site.
  • Advertisements that appear on the Dwellant Service are delivered to you by advertising affiliates, partners and service providers. Tell-A-Neighbour Service

If you choose to use our referral service to tell a neighbour or refer services or trades people about Dwellant, we will ask you for their name and email address. We will automatically send them a one-time email inviting him or her to visit Dwellant. Dwellant stores and only uses this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.

Your neighbour or the referred service/trades person may submit a request that we remove this information from our database via the Contact Us page or by emailing; remove requests of this nature will be completed within 30 days.

Internet awareness

Whenever you voluntarily post personal information in public areas, like journals, weblogs, message boards and forums, this information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by others to send you unsolicited communications.   • We limit access to your personal information only to employees that we authorize to access that information in order to do their jobs in connection with the Dwellant service.
